avery wanted to "fix" my hair tonight so i sat in the floor next to the couch and she went to get her tools!! (literally!) after she was through with me she moved on to brent...

Tis the season...

...for POPSICLES! We've had 80 degree weather the past 2 days so we busted out those frozen treats. avery loves Popsicles and ate many last summer but this was griffy's first....he wasn't too sure at first but after about 20 seconds he loved them!!

Jimmy Buffet

Brent and I had a long evening out last night - it was much needed and much enjoyed! We went with 2 other couples (Creighton/Christa and Amy/Chris) to see Jimmy Buffett in concert. It was in an outdoor amphitheatre and we sat on the lawn - it was a beautiful night for being outside. Neither of us had ever seen Jimmy in concert - but Creighton has been to over 30!!! It was a ton of fun!

Beach Trip

We spent wed-sunday at the beach last week. Mom and Mike bought a house in Santa Rosa, in between Grayton and Sandestin. We went with Brent's mom and his sister and her family. It was a ton of fun. Avery loved the water so brent spent his time walking the beach with her, jumping waves and picking up seashells. Griffin was in heaven in the sand so I was able to just sit and let him run around - not too much he could get into and he loves to be wide open! We hope to take many more trip in years to come!

Visiting friends

While in mobile we were able to have a cookout with a few of brents good friends from home. Chris Lockwood was the best man in our wedding - he and brent have been friends since middle school. (needless to say, they have gotten into much trouble together....) He and his wife Joy and their little Ella were there. And then another of Brent and Chris' good friends, Lena Jackson and her husband Kevin hosted us. They have 2 cutie little girls, Ava and Nora. Brent's sister Cara and her little boy Cooper also came. We grilled out and let the kids run free in a wonderfully fenced in yard!!! (i'm so jealous!) We enjoyed the time with friends and getting to know their sweet children.

Easter in Mobile

So once again its been a while since i've blogged...we returned this afternoon from about 9 days of travels and fun! We left a week ago Friday and drove (yes, DROVE) down to mobile. We arrived in time for an all-family day at the "barn" with brent's extended family. His Uncle Gene and Aunt Sue have a huge red barn/warehouse type building that is perfect for large get-togethers. We played baseball, fished, had an easter egg hunt, rode golf carts, flew kites, and ate plenty. It was really good to see everyone and the kids had a blast running free.
