We enjoyed kicking off the Christmas season this weekend. Thursday evening, Brent and I enjoyed a nice dinner with friends and then went to Mannheim Steamrollers for a totally 80's Christmas flashback. The place was filled with white-haired ladies (I'm sure some of Brent's patients were there!)...the music was wonderful and the Mannheim guys are incredibly talented musicians.
Friday night we bought our Christmas tree. The tag said 8'-9' but when we got it home we measured it and it was 10 1/2 feet tall!!! Brent had to do a hack job to get it short enough to get inside the house! (and we have 9' ceilings!)
On Saturday we went to a PTO fundraiser at Avery's school. It was a pancake breakfast, pictures with Santa, and a performance by the school chorus. We spent the next few hours decorating the Christmas tree and the house.
enjoying their pancakes
Graham was not a fan of Santa. (Why didn't I think of this ahead of time? ) I just picked him up and sat him on Santa's lap and he totally freaked out! My bad!
this was the only way to get Graham any where near Santa
but surprisingly, Carsyn didn't seem to mind him!
So the tree is decorated...my shopping is done...I just finished wrapping presents...already mailed gifts that needed it...Christmas pj's are in use...next up, Christmas cards!! Excited for this special season!
Beautiful pictures!! They all look so cute!
