St Patricks Day Parade

Graham's preschool had a parade today for St Patty's Day. The kids made necklaces, shakers, and hats and marched with their classes around the school grounds.

daddy surprised us all by showing up!

marching (it was freezing cold and wet outside....not parade weather!)

Garden Time

Brent's newest interest is gardening...so its been a family affair for the last few weeks!!  Griffin is by far the most interested and involved of the kids but everyone has eagerly participated.

Brent built 2 boxes, each 5x10 feet. We don't have a great sunny spot in the yard so we put them in different places to see which gets the most sun. This is box # 1 - the boys took turns screwing in each screw. And then Brent hauled tons of dirt to get it filled. We planted this one 2 weeks ago - it has kale, broccoli, carrots, onions, cilantro, rosemary...Everything seems to be growing except no sign of carrots yet...

Griffin was helping mix in some good soil. The boys love the mini hoe and shovel...

Avery helped with lots of planting in box #2 today....bell peppers, banana peppers, jalepenos, tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, and still to come - zucchini.

graham planted one tomato plant....mostly, he just cruised around the yard on his 4 wheeler.

here is today's final product.
Cant wait to taste the fruit of Brents labor!!

this precious thing didn't garden but we sure had fun outside today!!
