So down here in Augusta, we don't see snow often...in fact, we hadn't seen snow since we left Durham over 2 1/2 years ago! We have had a really cold winter but the kids didn't understand why it hadn't snowed...they asked {repeatedly} why we moved somewhere that it didn't snow, etc.
But last night their prayers were answered! It started snowing around 8:00-9:00 and we woke up with 2-3 inches of soft snow! We were outside playing by 8:00 this morning - running from activity to activity - snowballs, sledding, snowman....
snow angel by Avery
Carsyn was really interested and wanted to participate - but she wouldn't leave her gloves on and then cried when her fingers froze!
this guy was really into throwing snowballs
I didn't get many good pictures of Griff - he was constantly moving!! And he loved the snowball fighting too!
our makeshift sled
our yard is really flat - but there is a vacant house for sale down the street that has a hill in the front yard so we did a little sledding there...
Avery built this snowman, but Brent and I think it looks more like a penguin....
I'm sure there is more playing to come....kids are currently watching movies by the fire!
